Second Month of LTM

February 11, 2010

Monday, went well, besides the wait of course. Something about hospitals. Do they have a special time zone there?

Port accessed, blood drawn, Vincristine given, port deaccessed. Sounds simple! Still took three hours. Currently Isa is taking 100% of the dose for her Standard-High risk protocol. This includes, vincristine through her port, and a spinal tap every three months.  Besides that, we give her Dexamethasone twice a day, 6-MP at night, and methotrexate by mouth once a week.

Her belly is still enlarged, but the tests showed only minimal liver irritation which is consistent with receiving chemotherapy.

Thank you for reading!
