Surprise, Surprise, Surprise
If you can’t hear Gomer Pyle saying that in your head, then you have not watched enough re-runs of Andy Griffith or Gomer Pyle. So get cracking on that.
This week we speculated that Isa would NOT start Augmented Interim Maintenance #2 on schedule, but she did. Her platelets were 104 and her ANC was 900. Quite a bounce back from, uh, 20. Or 90 or whatever it was a couple of weeks ago.
The nurse sped into our room and had Isa accessed quickly. The blood went away and the preliminaries came back by the time the nurse practitioner came for the exam. We were finished with everything by 10:30. Everything was .9 mg of Vincristine, 150 mg of IV Methotrexate, 12 mg of IT Methotrexate through her spinal tap. We left at 11:00. The puke bucket, as we lovingly call it, was left on the floor for the duration of the ride home. Just now Isa is waking from a two hour nap.
If you been reading this blog consistently then you know how we will spend our day with a higher ANC. Grocery Shopping. *woot*
Thanks for reading and praying. The prayers are working. Keep it up!
