Interim Maintenance OVER & DONE

June 26, 2009

Interim Maintenance happens two times, each time will last for two months. This is the FIRST, INTERIM MAINTENANCE!

All dates below are approximate, because the appointments have not been made. The protocols are based on a “Day” basis, for example such and such drug is given on Day 21 of the treatment cycle, and this other drug is given on Day 22. Etc. I am plugging in the dates based on Isa’s progress so far, as well as, based on our previous appointment dates.

May 7

  • IV- VCR
  • IV Methotrexate
  • Intrathecal Methotrexate  (This is a lumbar puncture where she will also receive Morphine and Versed)

May 8

  • PEG-asparagase
    • (The last time she got this it was THREE shots in the leg. The last time she got it she was under the influence of morphine and versed. The way this is written she will be getting it all on its own. ADDITIONALLY, this medication can cause severe allergic reactions. IF  that were to happen to ISA she would have to get several shots every other day for about 2 weeks. )

May 18

  • IV VCR
  • IV Methotrexate

May 27

  • IV VCR
  • IV Methotrexate

May 28

  • PEG-asparagase

June 8

  • VCR
  • IV Methotrexate
  • Intrathecal Methotrexate (this is a lumbar puncture)

June 16
