Make-A-Wish Foundation

March 30, 2009

Luckily for me, I like to read other people’s blogs. I found out from reading about Aubrey that she was referred by their social worker to the Make-A-Wish foundation

So I nominated Isa.

Aubrey just got a visit from the wish makers and they decided to go to Walt Disney World. Isa doesn’t quite understand what a wish is. She also has a different chemotherapy protocol than Aubrey. So it may take longer for her to get to a place where travel will be possible.

We are still waiting to hear more specifically what to do. The Wish website has LOTS of pictures of children who made wishes, and are still living to tell about them.

If you’d like to help but don’t know how, DONATE YOUR FREQUENT FLYER MILES to make a wish come true.

I would never have recommended Isa because I, well, I didn’t think she was sick enough. Isn’t that a riot. So, now that you’ve called me an idiot. I hope that you feel better.

And for those of you waiting to have a wish granted, they do come true. Check out Jaymun’s trip to Crocodile world.

I am so mad your child care specialist or social worker did not tell you about Make a Wish, your baby is losing part of her childhood the LEAST she deserve is the best wish she can think of.

My cousin got to go fishing in Alaska via Make A Wish. It was the most incredible experience for the entire family. Many memories were made that they will treasure for the rest of their lives! I hope you guys get the same opportunity (OK maybe not to go fishing, but something else really cool)!

Isa gets to pick, so it could be quite interesting. So many people have been affected by the Make-a-Wish Foundation. It seems like the best organization to donate to, if you’re into that sort of thing.
