Outpatient visit number three
The third friday outpatient visit is today. Isa is only getting the Vinchristine and blood work. Next week will be the really hard one; spinal tap, bone marrow aspiration, and chemo. Next week we will get the results of the test that will tell us how she is responding to the chemotherapy. She will either be ready to move onto the second phase of treatment or the first phase will be extended. So far is appears that everyone’s prayers are working.
Isa’s hair is hanging in there. There has been no sign of hair loss. So we are expecting this week to finding hair on the pillow. Papa has shaved his head in a preemptive sign of solidarity. He felt that it would be good for Isa to get used to the idea that “Bald is Beautiful.”
Updating the blog has been difficult since we have no access to the internet in our apartment. When we find a more permament housing arrangement.
GOt to go now to treatment….L8R.
Mama Here… I got a picture of Papa’s bald head on my phone but can’t seem to get it to upload here. Sorry Folks you will have to wait until the next installment.
