  • Methotrexate (MTX) by lumbar puncture

November 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8

  • DEX

Either November 5, 6, or 7

  • Pegasparaginase  Two shots in the leg.

Day 8

  • VCR
  • Doxo

Day 15

  • VCR
  • DEX
  • DOXO

Day 16-21

  • DEX

Day 29

  • Cyclophophamide (CPM) Cytoxan ®
  • Cytarabine (Ara-C ®)
  • Thioguanine (TG)
  • IT Methotrexate by lumbar puncture

Day 30-32

  • Ara-C at home
  • TG by mouth

Day 33-35

  • TG by mouth

Day 36

  • IT MTX by lumbar puncture

Day 36-39

  • Ara-C at home
  • TG

Day 40-42

  • TG by mouth

Day 43

  • VCR
  • PEG

Day 50

  • VCR

Day 57

  • Back to interim Maintenance for two months.

    Looks like we’re going to do the same protocol in 4 weeks…except no IT MX on day 36–only on day 1 and 29.
    I am terrified of DI. We are only going through it once, so I know I should count myself blessed. I will be watching and praying and sending all the good thoughts I can to you, Isa, Gg and Papa.

      My advice: keep a bag packed for the hospital of the stuff that you might need. Consider pre-treating for blood products. Remember that a fever could be VERY serious. or just a pain because it requires cultures to be drawn. Keep her healthy. Keep her hydrated. I am nervous and we have already done it.
